Toppings:
There are a range of treats you can add as toppings to your pooch’s pancakes! Petplace recommends choc drops for dogs. They are 100% dog- safe and enriched with vitamins and minerals. They also contain no artificial colours or preservatives. Dog- friendly peanut butter can also be added as a topping to pet -friendly pancakes. Peanut butter is a tasty treat for dogs in moderation. Second nature peanut butter for dogs is a good choice as it does not contain palm oil or xylitol – ingredients that are toxic for dogs.
Arden paste is another great topping to add to pet pancakes and a brilliant alternative if your dog doesn’t like peanut butter. Made with lots of fresh liver, Arden Grande Tasty Liver Treat is the ideal treat or reward for training purposes or for good behaviour. It does not contain any artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. It is free from wheat gluten, beef, soya and dairy products.
Other toppings suitable for your dog are fresh fruit that is k-9 approved like apples de-seeded and cored, bananas peeled, blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, mango stone and skin removed, nectarine stone removed and orange, skin and seeds removed. Never give your dog grapes as these are poisonous for dogs. It is important to only give your pooch one type of dog- safe fruit and only a small amount.
