What we need from you

Your role at petplace will focus on leading the team, working under the Store Manager. You’ll be performing daily management tasks but will be spending most of the time on the shop floor. With your input, we’ll provide a seamless and friendly service to our customers.

We feel as though we’re experts in our field, but we’ll never patronise those who come to us for advice. So, we’re seeking someone who’s friendly, passionate about animals, and committed to helping owners find the best products for their pets.

In other words, if you’re not as animal crazy as we are, you’re not right for us.

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll make our customers’ experience pleasant from start to finish. From a warm welcome that sets an inviting tone, to friendly advice that guides them towards the right purchase, you’ll play an essential role in delivering our services.

The position we’re offering is a full time role, so you’ll work for 40 hours per week. Your working hours will be on a rota basis, working up to 7pm, including your share of weekends.

Team Member – Llangefni

We are looking for someone to join the team at our Llangefni store.

Your day will be spent on our shop floor – from serving customers to replenishing stock.

We’re a growing family business, and we’re a bit purrnickety about who we let join our team. We want someone who shares our values, while developing our exciting company culture.

Our customers’ best friends (their pets) are important to us, so if you aren’t bonkers about pets, then you’re not for us. Sorry!

We are looking for someone who will provide a warm welcome to our customers providing them with the service we believe our customers deserve. However, your role will include stock taking and replenishing stock.

How to Become a Member of Our Team

1. Identify a position that interests you. From there, complete our application form giving as many details as possible. The more information you give us, the easier it will be to identify if you are the right candidate for us. Once the closing date for applications has passed, no more applications will be considered, so make sure your application is received in plenty of time.
2. Applications are then sifted to select a shortlist for interview. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications we receive it isn’t possible to let everyone who was unsuccessful for interview know, so please don’t take it personally.
3. At the interview stage you will be seen by a member of the HR team to assess your suitability for employment. Take this opportunity to sell yourself and highlight all the things about you that we can’t do without.
4. From there, a small number of excellent candidates will be selected for a second interview. All those unsuccessful after the first interview will be notified, we won’t leave you wondering what happened. The second interview will be conducted by the relevant Department or Store Manager who will then select the successful candidate.
5. If you are unsuccessful, again we will notify you. If you are successful you will then join our team and begin your journey.
