Baileys High Fibre Complete Nuggets are high fibre, chunky nuggets that can be fed on the ground of from a bucket to encourage natural foraging behaviour. These crunchy nuggets with natural fibre content ensure your horse has enough to chew on but can also be softened with water for veteran horses or those who have difficulty with chewing. With lots of essential oils extracts incorporated, these tasty morsels should tempt even the fussiest of eaters. Unmolassed Sugar Beet Pellets Sugar beet pellets are vegetable matter, which are high in digestible fibre, high energy, and low protein. Sugar beets are processed for sugar, and once the sugar is extracted it leaves sugar beet pulp. The sugar pulp is then processed into pellets, making it easier to handle. Beet pellets are a great food supplement for the diet of horses, cattle, sheep, and goats. They are especially useful for under weight animals, due to their high calorie/energy content. Beet pellets are dried and due to this dehydrated state, it is advisable that they are soaked (completely submerged) in water for at least 15 - 30 minutes prior to feeding or until properly softened. Soaking can help reduce the sugar content of the pellets. The soaking process and access to water for the animals, will ensure they do not become dehydrated. ReadyFibre Mash is high in fibre and low in starch and sugar that is ideal for good doers, overweight horses and ponies and those prone to laminitis. This feed is cereal-free and is useful for horses that suffer from intolerances. Horses that are stabled for long periods and have difficulty eating long stem fibres will benefit from eating this ReadyFibre Mash as it is an ideal hay replacer. Alfa-Beet is a conditioning feed that is high in digestible fibre and low in sugar and starch. Containing approximately 10.5MJ/kg DE* it provides as much energy as a working mix or cube, but without the fizziness often associated with cereal based products. Alfa-Beet is very palatable so is ideal for fussy feeders. The horse at grass would normally consume much higher levels of water than the stabled horse due to the high moisture content of grass. As Alfa-Beet is fed soaked, it is a useful way of increasing water intake, which can be of particular benefit in the winter when horses are stabled more, and are less inclined to drink. Fibre Concentrate The combination of alfalfa and unmolassed sugar beet pulp provides 'slow releasing' energy in the form of highly digestible fibre. Alfa-Beet is therefore ideal for weight gain without over-exuberance. Veterans Alfa-Beet is ideal for older horses and ponies, where the provision of good quality protein is important and where maintaining condition is often a struggle. Dental problems? - no problem! Alfa-Beet is soaked to produce an easily digestible mash. Low Sugar Alfalfa is naturally low in sugar (water soluble carbohydrates) and Alfa-Beet contains only a quarter of the water-soluble carbohydrates found in conventional molassed sugar beet. With only 7% starch and less than 5% sugar, Keep Calm is an ideal feed for horses prone to laminitis or if their intake needs to be limited. Argo Grass Nuts are made from 100% natural grown grass with no additives. In order to prevent too rapid a consumption we recommend that grass pellets should be fed with at least an equal volume of a bulky feed. Linseed Mash is a blend of conditioning ingredients, with an emphasis on linseed providing substantial levels of intracellular oil and protein and including the all-important muco-polysaccharides. Oatbran provides good levels of super-fibres and has been proven to be sympathetic to the horse’s digestive system. Alfalfa pellets are a natural highly nutritious feed in a pelleted form.
