Dosage Pigeons: 10ml (2 x 5ml spoons) into approx 2 litres (3 1/2 pints) drinking water once each week Racing: Give once weekly through the season but not on the three days before racing. Breeding: Give Tonic each week. Moulting: At first signs give Tonic for three days, then once or twice weekly until moult ends. Harka-Mectin is a spot on treatment for internal and external parasites of cage/aviary birds and homing, racing pigeons. Dosage Instruction Cage/aviary birds: 1 drop (100ug Ivermectin) per bird onto the skin, under the feathers between the shoulders. Pigeons: 2 Drops (200ug Ivermectin) per bird onto the skin, between the shoulders. Use before the start of the racing season. Warnings: Do not use during the main moulting season. Do not use during the hatching period. Do not use this product on young birds less than 8 weeks old. Do not use this product on any species other than those named on this leaflet. Serious reactions have been reported after the application of the active substance to dogs (especially collies, old English sheep dogs and related breeds), Tortoises and turtles. Avoid contact to skin, eyes and, mouth. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying this product. Storage/Disposal Advice: Store below 25c. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of unused product and packaging in the domestic refuse.
Treatment Of Coccidiosis Via Drinking Water. Coxoid is a water treatment for coccidiosis add to the drinking water for 7 days and during treatment birds should not have access to unmediated water. A favourable reaction may be expected withing 2 days. Available in a 112ml (sufficient for 30 birds) Coxoid contains Amprolium Hydrochloride 3.84% w/v. Dosage and Administration Add Coxoid to the drinking water at a rate of 28ml per 4.5 litres (1fl.oz. per gallon) for 7 days. In serious outbreaks of coccidiosis, treatment at half strength (14ml per 4.5 litres) should be continued for a furthur 7 days. The birds should not have access to unmedicated drinking water during the treatment period. Any medicated water which is not consumed within 24 hours should be discarded. Special Precautions for the Disposal of Unused Product Unused medicated water should be disposed of by pouring onto excreta in the loft. Excreta from treated birds should not be spread onto land used for growing crops. Dispose of empty packaging and any remaining product in the household refuse. Contra-indications DO NOT USE IN BIRDS INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. This coccidiostat must not be mixed or used simultaneously with any other medicinal product or substance having a similar effect. If signs of disease persist or appear, consult your veterinary surgeon.
