Instructions for Setting:
1. Lift the fly over arm from the bait assembly and lay off the trap.
2. Place a tasty morsel such as chocolate or peanut butter on the four metal prongs to tempt the rat.
3. Position the trap where you know the rats are frequenting.
4. Place the trap with the bait facing towards the wall.
5. Pull back the striker wire to knock the fly over arm and return it to link with the baited assembly again.
6. Release the pressure on the strike wire slowly. The trap is now set.
A rat will mount the trap to get at the tasty morsel and WHACK, the rat will be despatched quickly and humanely.
Clean and disinfect the rat trap and re-set it. Please ensure that the rat trap is out of reach of children and pets.
Always wear disposable gloves when handling rat traps and vermin. Double bag the rat and dispose in accordance with local requirements. Wash hands thoroughly as an extra precaution.

NB: Mice carry a variety of diseases, and should never be handled without protection. To minimise distress to captured mice, traps must be checked regularly (preferably every hour), and should not be left overnight.

The Mouse Killer Station is made of a strong and durable plastic and has two compartments. A small plastic key, attached to the side of the station, will open the bait station by placing the two points of the key into the holes at the front and press firmly. The mouse killer station is already baited with a 10g ‘teabag’ type sachet of mouse killer paste bait. Each sachet has the active ingredient Alphachloralose (4%) which is deadly to mice and also incorporates the Microencapsulation Technology*. The sachet is packed with hazelnut attractants which is irresistible to mice. The paste bait is so powerful that just one mouthful of the bait will prove fatal. The killer paste bait will cause the mouse to fall asleep almost immediately before its untimely death.
*microencapsulation allows substances to be absorbed more readily into another substance. The poison droplets are coated allowing them to pass through easily, i.e. the poison is able to enter the bloodstream quickly to administer the lethal dose to the mouse.
Place the Bait Killer Station where it is known that mice frequent.

Racan Ultra Snap Metal Rat Trap
This has an extremely powerful spring action to kill rats instantly. It is easy to set with a robust design.

Setting the Trap:
Squeeze the two handles together so that the jaws are in an open position.
Place the trigger plate in between the two clasps very carefully and gently release the handles letting the plate take the pressure of the spring load. Be careful that your fingers are not in the jaws of the trap when setting.
How to Use:
Look for signs of mole activity such as freshly dug mole hills. Place the trap inside the tunnel near to the mole hill. The trap should be set firmly into the soil with the trigger plate just above the bottom of the tunnel.
Sprinkle some soil around the trap and in the tunnel and place the turf back over the trap to block out any light entering the tunnel.
The mole will think that the tunnel has collapsed and will try to clear it and set off the trigger plate. The mole will be despatched quickly and humanely.
The location of the traps should be marked clearly and checked daily.

Tips:
Rub soil over trap before use to remove scent.
Never wash a trap that has caught a mole.
