This is a wonderful gadget for tethering your dog up in the garden. It is made from metal and is very sturdy. The Stake Out Spike can be driven into the ground until the domed cap is level with the ground (42cm). Loam or clay soils are preferable to sandy or very wet ground. The stake should be driven into the ground vertically with a mallet or similar tool, avoiding the domed cap. The stake is easily removed by kicking or hitting the side of the top of the stake to help loosen it. It can then be pulled out of the ground vertically. Not all dogs will tolerate being tethered up, therefore individual judgement is needed.
