FAQ – Marriages Layers Pellets with Flubenvet
Everything you need to know about Marriages Layers Pellets with Flubenvet It’s common knowledge that worming your poultry is essential to keep them healthy, and Marriages Layers Pellets with Flubenvet make it really easy to do so. Normally with a chicken wormer, you would have to manually and thoroughly mix it in with the feed. If not handled correctly the wormer can be harmful to your health, and your chicken’s health, and of course doing it by hand is also a general inconvenience. However, Marriages Flubenvet Layers Pellets are designed to replace the normal feed you would feed your poultry for seven days, during which time a chicken will eat the appropriate amount of wormer. The wormer is pre-mixed at the mill into normal 17% protein layers pellets and will be effective against gapeworm, large roundworm, caecal worm, hairworm, and gizzard worm.
What is Flubenvet?
Flubenvet contains flubendazole, a medication that kills adult and early immature stages of common poultry worms. It’s the most effective chicken worming treatment available and we highly recommend it.

Layers Pellets with Flubenvet should be fed solely instead of their normal feed for 7 consecutive days, you should repeat treatment around every 3 to 6 months.
How much chicken worming feed will I need?
You will need to buy the same amount that your poultry would consume in a week on normal layers pellets, as Marriages Layers Pellets with Flubenvet acts as a replacement. As a quick example, 1kg per bird so one 10kg bag for 10 birds over a week.
Should I feed mixed corn or other treats alongside this feed?
No, do not overfeed with mixed corn or any other treat, you should only use these Layers’ Pellets for 7 days. If your poultry has access to other foods or treats, they may not be getting the required dosage of Flubenvet.
Will Flubenvet affect my Chicken’s ability to lay eggs?
Not at all, the feed has no adverse effect on the egg laying or their hatchability.
Are the Chicken’s Eggs & Meat safe to eat during worming?

Chicken Worming Week - When Did You Last Worm Your Chickens?Hannah Bebee
I think my chickens have tapeworm as I’ve found little white egg like things on their droppings. I’ve heard that they might need a higher dosage of Flubenvet? Would these pellets work? Thank you

Hi there, thanks for your comment. Yes absolutely it should work. This is a trusted medication designed to treat and prevent worm infestation. It is much easier to use the pellets, as they are all coated evenly, therefore giving your chickens the appropriate amount. The recommended feeding guide for adult chickens is about 1kg per bird over a 7 day period, which should be enough to treat your chickens. Obviously if symptoms persist, then it would be best to take them to the vet. Hope this helps, anything else, just ask.

Hi, I have my first four hens. I bought a 5kg bag. I have therefore a kg left. Can this be used up mixed in with their normal pellets rather than wasting it? Or is that not safe?
David Johnson
Hi Barbara, thanks for commenting. It would be recommended to dispose of any extra feed. I know this seems like a waste but like any medication, if you have too much of it you will develop a slight immunity to it, and therefore when it comes time to worm them again it may not be as effective.
