Easy to Make Dog Christmas Cookies Recipe
Do you often bake Christmas cookies for your family, but feel bad when you see your dog looking up at you wondering where theirs are? With this dog Christmas cookies recipe, you can spoil them rotten! It’s a very easy method that even your kids might enjoy joining in with.
Dog Christmas Cookies – Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup hot water
Dog Christmas Cookies – Equipment
- Bowl
- Oven
- Olive Oil
- Christmas Cookie Cutters
- Spatula
- Cookie Tray
- Rolling Pin
Dog Christmas Cookies – Directions
- Preheat your oven to gas mark 5/375 degrees F.
- Combine the dry ingredients listed above (flour and baking powder) in a bowl and mix them together.
- Now you can add the peanut butter and water, mixing together well. You’re looking for a bread dough-like consistency. Neither too sticky nor too dry. Add either flour to dry it out or water to make it stickier as you see fit.
- Once you’re happy with the dough, roll it out onto a floured surface.
- Use the Christmas cookie cutters to cut out the cookies from the dough.
- Place these cut-out cookies onto a lightly olive oil-greased cookie tray and then bake them in the oven for around 15 – 20 minutes. Remember to allow for some space between the cookies as they are likely to expand.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool so you don’t hurt your dog’s sensitive mouth.
If the dog Christmas cookies are successful you can even try adding more ingredients like dried blueberries, honey, cinnamon, carob, and more…get creative!
