5 Things to Do with Your Pets at Christmas
No doubt there will be loads going on around Christmas…but how can you include your pets in the festivities? We’ve put together some things to do with your pets at Christmas, so they can feel as much part of the day as you will.
Take Festive Photos
Whether you’re taking holiday photos of the whole family, or just looking for one of your pets…make sure you preserve the memories of this Christmas with lots of photos. Why not try lightly tying a bow around them to make them look even more Christmassy? You can then use these photos for next year’s Christmas cards!
Take Them for a Christmas Walk
It’s usually very quiet around on Christmas day, so why not take the opportunity to take your dog around for a walk? Remember to wrap them up warm in a good dog coat…and once you’ve walked enough and burned enough calories you can both enjoy a guilt-free huge Christmas dinner!
Let Them Open Their Gifts
We certainly hope you’ve gotten a few gifts for your pets this Christmas, so why not encourage them to open them themselves? Some pets will dig right in whereas others may need more encouragement. To encourage them simply rustle at the wrapping paper not actually tearing at it, but showing them that it’s OK to destroy the wrapping paper.
Make Them Christmas Cookies
There are so many different Christmas cookie recipes online for your pets, a quick Google search should give you plenty of choices. However, why not try our own Dog Christmas cookies recipe as featured on our blog.
Play in the Snow
This is of course dependent on whether we’re lucky enough to have snow this year. However, playing in the snow is a very unique experience for your pet. They may initially be confused by all the white fluff laying around where their garden used to be. Be encouraging but not forceful and let them know that it’s OK to frolic in it and before you know it they’ll love it.
