Ambling along, each careful step advancing him a couple of inches, your tortoise will appreciate a soft and gentle ground covering to walk on. The ProRep Tortoise Life substrate will do the job perfectly. Made from a blend of professional quality loam, soft sand and limestone grit, it is the perfect combination of texture and moisture to reflect the natural surroundings of the tortoise, especially Mediterranean and Russian Tortoises. The addition of pure limestone provides additional calcium (if the substrate is eaten) to help maintain healthy bones. This substrate is also suitable for many species of lizards that originate from similar habitats. Help your dear little friend to live his life in peace and comfort by providing Tortoise Life Substrate for his weary feet to plod through. Directions: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 2” (5cm) for young animals and 6” (15cm) or more for mature animals. Russian tortoises particularly may need a deeper substrate as they burrow extensively. Spot-clean daily to remove soiled substrate and replace completely every 2 or 3 weeks. Areas of the substrate can be sprayed to keep it slightly damp and so provide local humidity. Avoid making the substrate too wet. Size: 10L

The superb qualities of the PR Aspen Bedding make it perfect for snakes and mammals that prefer an arid environment. It is soft, dust-free, odourless and highly absorbent. Its soft texture is ideal for burrowing or nesting and its high absorbency is ideal for mopping up spillages or waste. This bedding will provide a realistic habitat for your pet that will prove a winner for their comfort and your pocket. ProRep Aspen bedding is produced from wood sourced from sustainable forests and is suitable for Royal Pythons, Corn Snakes, King Snakes and small mammals such as guinea pigs and hamsters. Ensure you have the correct substrate for your type of pet as some reptiles prefer a more humid environment and need substrate that reflects this. Directions: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 1 - 2” (2.5 - 5cm). Spot-clean daily and completely replace every two or three weeks or more frequently if heavily soiled or wet. If you are using an under-tank heat mat as your heat source, do not use a thick layer of Aspen as this may cause the heat mat to overheat. Please wash your hands after handling the bedding. Size: 10L

The ProRep Red Night Spot lamp provides light and warmth for nocturnal reptile species living in Vivariums such as snakes and geckos. The Reptile... thousands upon thousands of various types and species, each and every one of them with a uniquely different habitat. Reptiles are among the planet's oldest creatures and, having been around for nearly 200 million years, it's safe to say that they have evolved. Nowadays, people enjoy keeping various reptiles as pets; Bearded Dragons, Corn Snakes and Pythons, to name a few. In order to attempt to recreate their natural habitat within Vivariums and Terrariums, we need to know everything from what food they eat, which bedding they require and even the level of heat they require in their home. While reptiles are very different in many ways on the outside, they all share something in common. Mammals are able to regulate their body temperature from within, whereas reptiles maintain and regulate their body temperatures by relying on their natural environment. They will use the Sun and the shade to remain warm or cool. That is why it is so important that we get the temperature right within their enclosure, mimicking their natural environment as closely as possible. This colourful Red night lamp provides light and heat, increasing ambient air temperature in their enclosure and encouraging natural thermo-regulatory behaviour. The heat produced is greater than the light, making it a good choice for nocturnal creatures. With various sizes and Watt measurements available and with easy to use screw-fitting, it is important that you choose the correct one for the size of the enclosure; larger Vivariums will require larger lamps. Full instructions on how to use the lamp correctly and safely can be found on the packaging. Remember to always use a heater guard and thermostat (sold separately), so that you can track and manage the temperature throughout the day. A heater guard will protect the reptile from burns. Shine a light on your reptile's life and keep him toasty and warm with the Pro Rep Red night heater. Sizes Available: 40w, 60w, 100w Full instructions can be found on the packaging. - This product becomes extremely hot during use and must not be touched. - Before handling the heater allow plenty of time for it to cool completely (approx. 30 minutes) - Designed for indoor use only. - It is recommended that you use the heater with a thermostat, to allow you to keep track of the temperature. - Always contact a qualified electrician if you are unsure.
WAXWORMS Waxworms are the larvae of the waxmoth, specially treated with a completely natural process to inhibit pupation and aid storage. Waxworms are fed delicious nutrients such as honey and wheatgerm. Highly nutritious with soft skins Waxworms are suitable for feeding to any lizard or insectivorous aviary bird or wild bird. HOW WE SHOULD STORE THE WAXWORMS? Waxworms should be stored in a cool dark, well ventilated area. The warmer they are kept the faster they grow, and then pupate and become moths. At room temperature waxworms can be kep for around 3-4 weeks before they pupate, although moths can be a great treat. Waxworms are available in clear plastic tubs for easy feeding and storage. The waxworms can be stored in the tubs they come in, or in a larger well-ventialted container. Bran and honey can be provided for food and moisture. HOW DO WE FEED WAXWORMS TO OUR PETS? Place a few waxworms in a small, shallow container in the cage/vivarium. Waxworms make excellent food for reptiles especially with their high calcium and protein content, but due to their higher fat content they shouldn't be used as a staple, although they are very useful to fatten up a thin reptile.
ProRep Tortoise Life is part of the species-specific “Life” series of substrates and has been created to meet the needs of Tortoises originating from dry habitats, particularly Mediterranean and Russian Tortoises. It is a blend of professional quality loam, soft fine sand and coconut husk that provides the ideal mix of texture and moisture retention, simulating the soils found in their natural habitats. The addition of coconut husk allows for a lighter substrate without the mineral content, increasing the organic material in the mix provides peace of mind if accidently ingested. It is also suitable for many species of lizards that originate from similar habitats. Directions: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 2" (5cm) for young animals and 6" (15cm) or more for mature animals. Russian tortoises particularly may need a deeper substrate as they burrow extensively. Spot-clean daily to remove soiled substrate and replace completely every 2 or 3 weeks. Fresh water should always be available for tortoises to either bathe in or drink. The colour of the New Tortoise Pool will camouflage it against the stunning vegetation and foliage already in the tank. When setting up a vivarium for your tortoise, it’s not only important to have bushy foliage for privacy and a place to hide and feel safe, but also other accessories - for instance, a tortoise pool, such as this durable resin dish which is available in three sizes. The three available sizes of pool will easily accommodate different sizes of tortoise from young to adult, small to large. The durable resin pool is very realistic and mimics a rock pool that could be found in their natural habitat and even has steps descending into the depths which are very useful for your reptile to get a foothold if he finds that he is getting into difficulties.. Tortoises should be bathed once a week for adults and twice a week for young tortoises. There should only be enough water in the dish to reach your tortoise's chin when bathing. To wash your tortoise's shell, spray with tepid water and, for any stubborn grime on the shell, a soft toothbrush can be used to gently scrub the shell clean. The tortoise should be dried thoroughly. Equally, tortoises should have plenty of fresh water available for drinking. Clean and replenish the dish daily to ward off nasty bacteria and prevent the water from becoming stale. The weight of the pool also ensures it can’t be pushed around that easily so the contents don't spill out. The smooth surface of the tortoise pool enables it to be cleaned and disinfected easily. Available Sizes: Small - approx 18 x 15 x 2.5cm Medium - approx 23 x 20 x 2.5cm Large - approx 33 x 28 x 2.5cm Colour: Light Brown Material: Strong durable resin
