British Horse Feeds Micronised Linseed for Horses High in Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, Cooked Linseed keeps your horse feeling good on the inside and looking great on the outside! Its high energy and low starch levels are especially beneficial to all Equine, including older horses, and those prone to Laminitis.
Micronised Linseed is a high oil feed that is rich in beneficial omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids to promote overall health and wellbeing. Omega supports many key functions for your horse, such as inflammatory response, immune function and skin health, as well as providing a powerful source of antioxidants. Micronisation is a unique way of cooking Linseed that not only improves the palatability but increases the nutritional value of the linseed and makes it safe to feed directly to livestock. Micronisation destroys the enzyme Linase which is found in raw linseed and can trigger the release of hydrogen cyanide in moist conditions. This oil rich feed is a straight feed and can be added to your horse's balanced daily ration for additional energy and nutrients. Micronised Linseed provides slow releasing energy for more controlled performance and promotes a show worthy shine. Linseed naturally contains low levels of starch which is beneficial to all horses and ponies. It is great for horses that struggle to maintain condition and can be a good winter feed when your horse is using extra energy to stay warm. This palatable high energy feed is micronized for convenience and ease of use. Micronised Linseed is great for all horses, including those that are older or horses that are prone to Laminitis. Charnwood Micronised Linseed is the highest quality available and many horse owners will refuse to use any other brand of linseed. Micronised Linseed Feeding Rate: We recommend to feed on average 150gm - 200gm of Micronised Linseed per day depending on the size of the horse. ie. 150gm for a small pony and 200gm for a large thoroughbred. Protein 23% Oil 35% Fibre 7% Ash 5.15%
Linseed Mash is a blend of conditioning ingredients, with an emphasis on linseed providing substantial levels of intracellular oil and protein and including the all-important muco-polysaccharides. Feeding this mash with an appropriate TopSpec Feed Balancer or supplement will result in horses glistening with health. Linseed Mash soaks quickly in 5 minutes in cool or warm water.

CoolCondition Cubes provide 'Non-Heating' but conditioning calories and are ideal for horses that need condition without 'fizz.' CoolCondition Cubes are designed to be added to a TopSpec feed balancer or supplement and therefore contain no added vitamins or trace-elements. That is why we call them a 'blend,' because they are a blend of straight raw materials rather than a complete feed. Adjusting the rate at which CoolCondition Cubes are fed will have no effect on vitamin and trace-element intake as these are supplied by the balancer used. One of the ways in which CoolCondition Cubes are superior to most straights however, is that they have been supplemented with the major minerals calcium, sodium and magnesium. For example, feeding these cubes instead of cooked barley/sugar beet/alfalfa, to working horses reduces or eliminates the need to add salt. CoolCondition Cubes combine the brilliant properties of being seriously cool and seriously conditioning, this is a very rare combination. They are formulated without the use of any cereals, so they are not just 'oat-free' or 'barley-free' but completely cereal-grain-free. At the same time they have a good conditioning index of 12.5MJ/kg, equivalent to most cereal-containing conditioning compound feeds. The formula is very low in sugar and starch and high in fibre. Typical Nutritional Analysis: Oil % 5.50 Protein % 14.5 Fibre % 15.0 DE MJ/kg 12.5 Starch % 9.5 Ca % 1.0 Mg % 0.4
