The hay is dust extracted as part of the packaging process. Due to the nature of the hay being a natural product, the length and colour of the hay can vary from batch to batch, and may also contain brambles and thistles. Vale bale Hay has been analysed by an independent local company- Forage Plus (http://www.forageplus.co.uk) and has a combined sugar and starch levels of approx 7.6% on an as fed basis meaning that Vale Bale Supplies Dust Extracted Hay is suitable for horses and ponies with or prone to laminitis, which means you will not have to soak your Hay at all, meaning that water soluble nutrients such as vitamins and minerals, which are crucial for maintaining and supporting robust and resilient health won’t be rinsed out of the Hay. As the bale is tightly wrapped with a plastic cover it is suitable for outdoor storage which is ideal for those of us with little indoor space. It composts easily with very little waste and doesn't get compressed in the hoof area. It is also very easy to muck out when using in a stable. This self drying straw is highly absorbent. Due to its puffy nature less is needed to create a comfy bed. The added eucalyptus is believed to be a natural deterrent for mites when used for poultry bedding. We also sell this product without eucalyptus. This bale weight around 15-16kg and is very economical. As this is a dust extracted bale you do not need to worry about the health of your horse or other pets.

MMF Micronized Flaked Barley 25kg is a high quality micronized barley. Micronized barley has special implications where small intestine amylase production is low (young livestock, companion animals, horses) and where hind gut production of short chain fatty acids are undesirable. All species benefit from increased productivity - improved growth and production and improved feed conversion. Gelatinised starch has significantly greater susceptibility to amylase degradation than raw starch; gelatinised starch disappears at an increased rate from the rumen - both as bypass carbohydrate and due to microbial utilisation; ileal digestibility is greater than raw starch, across species, and less starch is available for hind gut fermentation.
