Mr Johnson's Supreme Tropical Fruit Rabbit food is scrumptious and moreish and is a superior complementary food and should be fed with unlimited access to good quality hay as well as a small daily portion of fresh greens. It is important that some sort of chewing material is added to your rabbit’s cage because your little furry pet will need something to gnaw on to keep his teeth trim. Mr. Johnson’s Supreme Tropical Fruit Rabbit food is perfect for this job. The food has a variety of textures and is nutritious and wholesome and full of the flavours that rabbits adore and will help prevent selective feeding. Put some of this food in your rabbit’s cage for him to gnaw on as it will also help to wear down his growing teeth. Rabbits enjoy foraging. By feeding them a variety of appropriate food and hiding it around the cage will meet their natural need to forage.

The Tropical Fruit Rabbit food is full of essential vitamins and minerals including Verm-X which is a 100% natural blend of herbs and is used as a natural way to control intestinal hygiene.

To overcome selective feeding, it is preferable to feed your rabbit twice a day, dividing his daily requirements into two portions, feeding one portion in the morning and the other in the evening. Selective feeding is when your pet is given his food at one sitting and picks out his favourite bits, leaving the rest, often missing out on vital nutrients. If he is fed twice a day, he will be quite hungry at the first sitting and eat everything and will probably still be hungry enough to eat everything at the second sitting.

Rodents have front teeth that grow continuously and need to be checked often to ensure that they are not causing a problem. This problem is usually sorted out by having something crunchy to chew on. If your pet is having problems with his teeth, please take him to a vet to have his teeth looked at. Chewing on these treats will fulfil his need through stimulating fun to control boredom and stress levels. Look after your little friend and he will give you lots of pleasure. Go on, make his day – after all, he is special.

Feeding Guide:

Rabbit Size (Weight) Daily feeding quantity

Small (0.5-1kg) 15 – 30g/day
Medium (1-2.5kg) 30 – 75g/day
Large (2.5-5kg) 75 – 150g/day
Giant (5kg+) 150g/day*

*150g/day – for a rabbit that weighs 5kg; 25g extra food per day for every extra 1kg in rabbit weight (i.e. 6kg rabbit 175g/day). Pregnant, lactating and growing rabbits require up to twice as much food as the quantities recommended above.

A change in their diet should be introduced over seven days to avoid digestive upsets. This can be done by replacing some of their existing food each day with the new food until, by day seven, the food is fully changed over.

Rabbits must have access to clean, fresh water at all times.

This food should be stored in a cool, dry, dark place in a sealed container.
