Calci dust is a rich Calcium supplement for Reptiles and Amphibians. Made with 100% natural Calcium carbonate with no additives, it helps to prevent the chance of deficiency diseases in lizards, turtles and tortoises. Calcium is an essential element in a reptile's diet, promoting healthy bones and strengthening the shell of a tortoise. Many reptile feeds are low in Calcium, which is why it is important that they are able to consume Calcium in other ways. This micro-fine powder is easily digestible and adhesive, perfect for applying to insects or plants before feeding your reptile. Only a small amount is needed per insect, providing them with beneficial nutrients to live a happy and healthy life.

Directions for use:
To supplement vegetable matter for tortoises and other herbivorous reptiles, simply sprinkle over food immediately before feeding. To supplement insects, place a small amount in a plastic bag with the insects and shake gently. Feed immediately. To aid feeding, insects can be cooled before applying Calci Dust to make them slower and ensure they are quickly eaten. It is not possible to overdose on Calci Dust and it can be used at every feed. Avoid smothering food as some animals find large quantities unpalatable. Calci dust is 100% Calcium Carbonate so large quantities are not required. If acceptance is a problem, start feeding very low levels and gradually increase. Most reptiles and amphibians can also absorb Calcium from their food only in the presence of Vitamin D3. It is essential that UVB light of the correct wavelength and intensity is provided to enable D3 synthesis or that oral D3 is supplied. It is recommended that a vitamin/mineral supplement is used in conjunction with Calci Dust.
