Most of the kindling currently for sale in the UK is made from trees which have been specifically cut down to make it. Most of the timber is imported from Eastern Europe.
Blazers Rapid Fire Kindling Chips are made from chipping the parts of the tree that the saw mills cannot use and would otherwise find their way to landfill. All the chips processed are FSC certified which is your guarnatee of the sustainability of the raw material.
Using Rapid Fire Kindling Chips is a revolutionarey new way to light or rescue your fire. When lighting a fire from scratch, its multiple flame sites gets your fire hotter, quicker than the single flame emitted by standard kindling. This means your second stage wood or briquettes can be added sooner and will reach burning temperature quicker. You then get more time to sit back and enjoy the flames!
If you leave the fire for a while (with a guard around it!) and return to find it has burnt out and you are left with glowing embers, simply sprinkle a small handful of kindling chips onto the red embers, open up the vents on your fire to create maximum airflow and watch as the fire burst back into flame.
How To Light:
To light your fire
1. Ensure fire area is dry and free from residual ash
2. Place 2 or 3 handfuls of kindling chips in the grate/fire pit/chimenea
3. nestle a firelighter into the centre of the kindling chips
4. Light firelighter
5. Add second stage wood in a tee pee shape to avid smothering the fire
6. Add more wood as required.
To rescue a dying fire:
1. Take a small handful of kindling chips
2. Sprinkle directly onto the red hot embers
3. Open up the vents on your fire to allow maximum air flow/draw
4. Sit back and watch fire re-ignite
5. Add more kindling to increase the flame
6. Add more second stage wood to refuild fire
Warning:
This product generates extreme heat and therfore great care must be taken when using, handling and disposing carefully
Never overfill your fire/chimenea/fire pit
Never use lighter fuel or other flammable liquids
Never use in confined spaces or prohibited areas
Always keep children and pets away from fire
Never leave an open fire unattended
