But, not to worry, Net-Tex Equine Feather Mite Powder will do it's utmost to blitz these troublesome terrors. This unique formula with the active ingredient Diatomaceous earth will zap these mites by breaking down their waxy protective coating causing them to dehydrate and die. It is easily applied to a horse's feathers by squeezing the bottle and directing the powder onto the feathers.
This will relieve the irritation caused by the mites and help prevent your horse from constantly chewing its legs and causing nasty sores. If your horse has heavy feathering, it is preferable if the feathers are clipped or trimmed for easier access. Have your horse prance about for the right reasons and not because he is trying to shake off wretched mites.
Directions for use:
For use on horses and ponies. Stroke feathers upwards and puff powder into affected areas. Work powder in gently using a soft brush to base of feathers. In serious cases and horse's with heavy feathering, feathers may need to be clipped or trimmed to reach problem area. Repeat as necessary.
