• Breed & fur type – Dogs with thin or short fur, like Greyhounds and Whippets, feel the cold more and may really benefit from a coat.

• Age and Health: Puppies, senior dogs, or those with health issues might struggle to regulate their body temperature, so making sure they are warm enough is a must. 🧣

• Calming Needs: Some dogs experience anxiety during noisy or unfamiliar situations. A coat or jumper could apply gentle pressure, similar to swaddling, helping to soothe and reassure them.

• How to measure: If you can’t get to a store, check out our how-to, so you aren’t guessing on size if buying online.

1. Neck: Measure around the neck where the collar usually rests, ensuring the tape is snug but not tight—you should be able to fit two fingers underneath.
2. Length: Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
3. Chest (Girth): Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s chest, just behind the front legs.
