Description
Suet is a superior fat made from rendered animal fat which is a concentrated form of energy. It is easier to digest and metabolize by many birds. Fat is extremely important for birds because they have a fast metabolism and use up a lot of energy especially during the winter months.
Chopped peanuts are rich in protein and fats and are much easier to digest than whole peanuts, especially for young chicks.
The suet contains insects (which are packed full of protein), an irresistible food for a variety of garden birds.
Rapeseed and Linseed are a good source of Omega 3 which benefit the immune system and can help fight off infections.
It is essential that birds are fed all year round, not just in the winter as they need energy to get them through the different seasons for reasons such as nesting time in the spring when they also have chicks to feed.
