Corn is an ideal feed to scatter around the yard to get the chickens scratching, keeping them active and busy. Corn should be fed as a treat as part of a balanced diet. It is high in fat which could also benefit the chickens, espaecially in the winter when they need more energy.

The Layers Pellets are a complete food and can be fed as a scratch feed or, preferably, in a separate feeder. Your girls are really going to enjoy having a good old peck and forage in the yard, keeping them busy and entertained. It not only keeps them busy, but increases their exercise to ease boredom, as stress can have a detrimental effect on hens causing them to pull their feathers out. The Layers Pellets is full of essential vitamins and minerals for health and vitality and to support egg production. Included in these essential minerals is Selenium which supports the body's antioxidant defence system and helps maintain a healthy metabolism and Zinc to aid digestion and for muscle growth and repair.
