It also helps reduce hand fatigue ensuring a more pleasurable walking experience. The nylon tape retracts very smoothly with a wonderful gliding action. Attached to the lead is a stainless steel, anti-twisting heavy duty clip for attaching to a collar or harness which will not rust. The anti-twisting device prevents the lead from twisting when out on a walk which is very useful if you have an excitable dog that enjoys prancing around.
When around other people, animals or traffic, the lead needs to be shortened with the lead in the locked position so that more control is exercised over your dog. Also remember, your dog is able to travel in all directions, 360 degrees, not only forwards, so care must be taken when approaching people and other animals coming out of side paths and fast traffic on the road.
This lead is only to be used by a responsible person with an obedient dog and one that doesn't exceed the weight limit for the particular sized lead being used.
Directions for use:
Always hold the lead by the gel handle, never by the tape. To stop your dog, use your thumb to push forwards the button located on top of the handle. To give your dog a bit more freedom again, pull back the button.
