Description
TopSpec Turbo is not a complete food and, as such, contains no added vitamins or trace elements and should be fed with a TopSpec feed balancer. It is enriched with added sodium to support electrolyte balance, and calcium which is an essential mineral for bone health and muscle contraction. This highly palatable TopSpec flake is ideal for horses that need more energy but not the extra calories.
This feed is superbly beneficial for horses that require a quick zap of energy. Don’t be without TopSpec Turbo in your larder of equine goodies.
Features:
- Very palatable
- Sweetened and non-greasy to increase intake
- Added salt to support electrolyte balance
TopSpec Turbo is designed to be fed with an appropriate TopSpec Feed Balancer or TopSpec Supplement. It can be mixed with any other horse feeds including alfalfa grass chops, various forms of sugar beet pulp and compound cubes/mixes. It should be introduced gradually and fed according to condition and workload.
Fed at 6kg/day, preferably divided into four feeds, Turbo provides the equivalent of 660ml of Soya oil, eliminating the need for additional liquid oil.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
How to use TopSpec Turbo:
To improve performance
Substitute TopSpec Turbo for the same weight of traditional cereals, e.g. oats, or cereal-based compound feed. This will increase energy intake by an average of 35%, providing the fuel for more fittening work. A fitter horse with improved muscle function will show improved performance.
To reduce hard feed intake
It is now accepted that large cereal-based feeds are not normally well digested by horses. TopSpec Turbo is rich in calories and has a high oil content and can be fed at a lower rate than traditional cereals or cereal-based compounds without reducing performance or condition.
It is particularly beneficial for fussy eaters that require increased calorie intake but dislike liquid oil or high-fat premixes.
As an approximate guide 1.5kg (3lbs) of TopSpec Turbo will replace 2kgs (4lbs) of oats.
