In aid of National Pet ID Week here at Farm and Pet Place, we felt the responsibility to raise awareness about the UK law and ID tags. Did you know that to comply with the law any dog in a public place must wear a collar with the name and address (including postcode) of the owner engraved on a tag? Your telephone number is optional (but we would recommend this).
You can be fined up to £5,000 if your dog does not wear an identification tag. You do not have to put your dog’s name on the tag, this is optional. Unfortunately, dog theft is a real danger and we would therefore suggest that you do not put your dog’s name on the tag.
An example of the information to put on a dog tag is:

If you don’t have your precious pooch all kitted out. Then bring him along to one of our larger stores, Abergele, Chirk, Llangefni, or Mold and a member of our friendly staff will be happy to help you engrave your woofer with his very own personalised ID tag!
