How to Recognize and Eliminate Red Mites on Chickens
There are also a range of products that we recommend when tackling red mites on chickens.
A Red Mite Powder can be used as a treatment and preventative when applied to the bird or to their environment. The same can be said for a Red Mite Spray which is perfect for treating an affected flock. We would also recommend a multi-purpose disinfectant such as Total Mite Concentrate. This should be used to clean and disinfect your flock’s housing such as coops or outbuildings, as well as any surfaces. As always – please read the provided guidelines when using these types of product.
There we have it! We hope this little guide has stopped you from losing anymore feathers and eased you worries on dealing with red mites on chickens!
